Viscose is a semi-synthetic type of rayon fabric made from wood pulp that is used as a silk substitute, as it has a similar drape and smooth feel as a luxury material. It is lightweight breathable in nature fabric and doesn’t stick to the body. It doesn’t trap heat and is absorbent.
In terms of sustainability, it is better to substitute polyester as it is semi-synthetic and uses fewer chemicals in the manufacturing process.
